Kenneth C. Jones, Chief of Police
Kenneth Jones is a veteran of more than 28 years of full-time law enforcement experience and has been a commissioned peace officer for more than 30 years. A graduate of both the Valleyview and The Ohio State University's Police Academies, Chief Jones also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership. He is a graduate of the Institute of Police Technology and Management and is a certified Traffic Crash Reconstructionist. An Ohio Peace Officer Training Instructor, Chief Jones has taught numerous subjects including A.D.A.P., Vehicle and Suspect Stops, Patrol Tactics, and Building Searches. The Chief was selected as The Ohio State University's Blue Knight as well as O.S.U.'s Officer of the Year. He has been the recipient of two Police Chief's Distinguished Service Awards and was the D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year for the State of Ohio in 2004. He is a member of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police.
